Energodar suffers intermittent communications and food shortages, government plans to offer meals to the public

The town of Energodar, where the Zaporizhia NPP is located,is experiencing intermittent communications and problems with food deliveries. The local government is organising meals for residents in critical situations.

Quote: "In Energodar the night passed without emergencies. There are still significant problems with communications, not just in Energodar, but also in other towns of the region. 

Food is a problem due to the lack of new deliveries." 

Details: The Mayor said that bread was being baked, and that vegetables and other groceries were being sold sporadically near residential buildings and stores, but could not name any specific locations.

Quote: "If the situation becomes critical, school canteens will open as public eateries, where those without any food stocks can come and eat once a day. At present, if there are any cases like that, they should contact the head of OSBB (building cooperative – ed.). But only if the need is urgent!"
