Ukrainian Armed Forces neutralised two Russian lieutenant colonels and liberated Chuhuyiv

The General Staff of  Ukrainian Armed Forces  released the most recent information about the Russian invasion as of 6 March. The report mentions that two lieutenant colonels of the Russian army were neutralised.

Details: The Russian army began to accumulate resources to take Kyiv by storm.

The Russian army continues preparation for an offensive on the Polissya, Siverskyy, Donetsk, and Tavriya fronts.

Russian troops are trying to establish full control over the cities of Bucha and Irpin (on the Polissya front, to the northwest of Kyiv) and get closer to the capital of Ukraine.

The Russian army is advancing tank and motorised infantry units near Irpin.

The occupying forces continue fuel supply and transportation of other equipment through the Chornobyl Exclusion Zone from the territory of Belarus.

The occupying forces are trying to obtain tactical advantage to reach the eastern outskirts of Kyiv through Brovarskyy and Boryspil districts, as well as to establish control over the cities of Chernihiv and Sumy (Siverskyy front).

The enemy suffered significant losses and redeployed additional forces to replenish manpower and equipment after Ukrainian Armed Forces inflicted fire damage in locations where the aggressor amassed its weaponry Near Nova Basan and Skrypali.

Russian troops are conducting an offensive with up to three battalion task groups near Zaporizhzhya city (Tavriya front). They managed to restore the passage of trains on the Antonov railway bridge across the Dnipro river.

The advance of Russian military units on the northeastern front along the Ingul River continues. The battalion task force conducted a forced crossing and seized the village of Kashpero-Mykolaivka.

Ukrainian Defence Forces continue to conduct a defence operation in the South, East and North.

The city of Chuhuyiv was liberated in a battle.

The Russian army suffered heavy losses in personnel and equipment.

Lieutenant Colonel Dmitriy Safronov, Commander of the 61st Separate Marine Brigade of the Russian Armed Forces, and Lieutenant Colonel Denis Glebov, Deputy Commander of the 11th Separate Airborne Assault Brigade of the Russian Armed Forces, were killed.


Deputy Minister of Defence Hanna Malyar reported that in the Donetsk region,  heavy fights with the Russian occupying forces continue.
