Zelenskyy’s parliamentary faction preparing to accompany evacuation convoys

The leader of the "Servant of the People" Parliamentary faction, David Arahamiya invited Members of the Ukrainian Parliament to form groups to accompany evacuation convoys through the humanitarian corridors.

Arahamiya wrote to his colleagues in the faction’s online chat: "Colleagues, in connection with the constant disruptions and shelling in the humanitarian corridors, I have decided to personally accompany the evacuation process.

"I am asking @Mezentseva (MP Maria Mezentseva – ed.) to send a similar call to all Members of the European Parliament [to see] if there are volunteers. If civilians are bombed, let them (the Russian occupation forces – ed.) bomb us, too."

Direct speech: "Since [humanitarian – ed.] corridors are also planned in Kharkiv and Sumy, I am asking you to register through your group leaders if any of our deputies want to accompany [the evacuation convoys – ed.].

Let's look at the lists and try to get organised. The job involves endangering your life. Think twice about whether you are willing to take the risk."

Background: The Russians are systematically disrupting the evacuation of civilians. In particular, on March 6 in Mariupol, the humanitarian corridor for civilians was shelled by the Russian troops.
