Details: According to the Russian plans, the Ivano-Frankivsk, Zakarpattia, Lviv, Ternopil, and Chernivtsi regions would be made to join the ‘Federative Republic of Ukraine’.
This pseudo-federative regional formation was to be created in order to shatter the situation on the home front of Ukraine. The Security Service of Ukraine caught organisers and key persons of the network in the Ivano-Frankivsk region.
The Security Service of Ukraine arrested the organiser and key members of the criminal network in Ivano-Frankivsk Region.
In western and central regions they planned to recruit more than half a thousand traitors.
Armed separatists were to eliminate security forces and government representatives.
- After this, it was planned to take administrative buildings and declare ‘people's republics' in the mould of the so-called ‘L/DNR’ [Luhansk/Donetsk People’s Republics] and unite them in a new country controlled by Russia.
The perpetrator was interrogated, members of the criminal network testified against him.
According to article 109 of the Criminal Code (actions directed at the forced change or overthrow of the constitutional order or forcible seizure of power), the traitor and other members of the network could be sentenced to 10 years in prison.
