In the Luhansk region, the Russian occupying forces continue to fire at residential buildings and civilian infrastructure; they have targeted a children’s hospital. The Armed Forces of Ukraine are holding the occupiers back.

Quote: "A difficult night and a difficult day. The occupiers have only one goal – to destroy us. But they’re not up to it. The Armed Forces of Ukraine are defending us on all fronts and the Russians are unable to take the region’s capital (temporarily, the capital of the Luhansk region is Severodonetsk). The Russian army has no mercy and fires at Ukrainians indiscriminately."

Details: "According to Haidai, the situation is very difficult in Popasna and Lysychansk near the former rubber plant and the glass plant; the shelling never stops. Many residential buildings have been damaged. The roof of the children’s hospital is badly damaged. There are victims. "We are trying to restore communication, but because of the Russians the lines of communication don’t function for very long," he added.

Severodonetsk is under fire from the occupying forces almost around the clock, and the city looks apocalyptic. The Russian troops are firing indiscriminately at high-rise buildings, shops, leisure centres, etc.

Civilians in the Hirske district are in an extremely difficult situation. Shelling makes it difficult to access villages and towns, which in turn makes it difficult to provide assistance.

Quote: "Only yesterday, 7 people from Luhansk were found dead; 13 were injured, two of them children. Almost a thousand buildings have been destroyed.

Today, about a thousand residents of the region were successfully evacuated by train. We are currently negotiating a "green corridor" [the right of safe passage] for the whole region. The humanitarian situation is acceptable only in the northern cities; in the others, it is worse. But trucks from the west of Ukraine with provisions and medicines are already on the way.

Hold on just a little longer! Go Ukraine!"
