Quote: "Due to the damage to a section of the mains pipeline, the supply of thermal energy to the city is currently impossible.
Experts from the Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant [which supplies Energodar] are carrying out emergency repairs."
Details: It is most likely that heating will be restored on 5 March.
Background:
The Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant located in Energodar was shelled and seized by Russian troops, who are now in control of the administrative buildings and the entrance to the plant. Despite this, the power system is operating as normal.
Vadym Denysenko, Adviser to the Head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs said that three National Guardsmen were killed in the fighting at Enerhodar.
The Office of the President of Ukraine believes that the Russian command knew the grave risk to Europe that a large-scale tank attack on the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant posed.
