Ukrainian supermarket chains Fozzy Group and VARUS join Coca-Cola boycott
Fozzy Group’s distribution networks have stopped selling Coca-Cola products.
The company’s press service reported on Facebook.
"Fozzy Group’s distribution networks have stopped selling Coca-Cola products. This decision is due to this company’s wish to continue working in Russia despite the military invasion of Ukraine", the report says.
As of today, there will be no Coca-Cola products in Silpo, Fora, FOZZY Cash&Carry, and Thrash stores, and all future supplies will be stopped.
"We are talking about soft drinks such as Coca-Cola, Fanta, Schweppes, Sprite, BonAqua, Rich, and others.
At a time when countries and companies of the free world are cutting off all business relationships with Russia and trying to help the Ukrainian nation and armed forces, the Coca-Cola Company has decided to continue to work there.
We condemn such a position and hope that the company will reconsider this decision. Any responsible pro-freedom business is joining its hearts and thoughts with the Ukrainian nation," the Fozzy Group added.
The VARUS supermarket chain is also withdrawing Coca-Cola products from sale.
"We made this decision because of Coca-Cola’s official position to continue operating in the market of the aggressor country.
We are starting to remove Coca-Cola products from VARUS shelves, such as Coca-Cola, Cola-Cola Zero, Sprite, Fanta and Schweppes carbonated drinks, BonAqua mineral water, FuzeTea, Rich juices, and Monster Energy Drink and Burn energy drinks.
We urge other chains to join the boycott," the statement said.
Previously, another Ukrainian supermarket chain NOVUS announced that it no longer cooperated with the Coca-Cola Company, which continues to operate in the aggressor country.
