Details: In Ripky, a border village in Chernihiv, Russian troops seized a local police station, shooting an unarmed local at the entrance to the village.
It is reported that Russian occupying forces have already seized a local tractor, a truck, and looted two grocery stores. At night, they drove through the streets and flooded the windows with floodlights.
According to the available information, a column of military equipment marked "O" arrived at a general meeting of the citizens, which was taking place near St. Nicholas Church in Ripky.
A representative of the occupying forces, who called himself "colonel of police", began dictating his orders to the people. He told them that if they disobeyed, he would fire on the village until his artillery destroyed it completely.
He demanded the return of all trucks and declared a curfew. A representative of the Russian forces forbade locals to gather, remove military equipment, or approach the police station.
Quote: "Locals did not accept the aggressors' proposals. They sang the anthem and expressed their patriotic position. They showed the visitors photos and videos from the internet of how the Ukrainian army met the enemy. The Russian troops denied that their losses had been as great as they appeared in the photographs.
The self-described "colonel of police" said he would report to the leadership on the local population's rejection of the occupation. Instead, he began talks with a city resident, who until 2010 was Ripok's police chief. Locals did not delegate any authority or negotiating powers to this person. "
