Russia’s military losses over the 8 days of its war with Ukraine have exceeded 9,000 soldiers, according to Ukraine’s Ministry of Defence

Details: According to estimates by the Ukrainian military, the total losses of the Russian military between 24 February and 4 March are as follows:

  • Approximately 9,166 personnel
  • 251 tanks
  • 939 armoured combat vehicles
  • 105 artillery systems
  • 50 multiple rocket launchers
  • 18 air defence units
  • 33 aircraft
  • 37 helicopters
  • 404 units of automobile equipment
  • 2 speed boats
  • 60 fuel tanks
  • 3 unmanned aerial vehicles

These numbers are being clarified. The exact count is difficult due to the high intensity of the military operations.
