Fighting paused near Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant, no changes in radiation levels

The Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plan (NPP) equipment and energy blocks have preserved their integrity, the fighting has ceased.

Quote from the State Nuclear Energy Regulating Agency: "The Zaporizhia NPP energy blocks maintain their integrity, there is some damage to the surrounding structures of the reactor unit of the Energy Block No.1, which do not affect the safety of the energy block.
"The systems and elements important for NPP’s security are operational.
"No changes in the radiation levels currently observed.
The core equipment and energy blocks of the Zaporizhia NPP maintain their integrity."
Details: Orlov stated that there were no fighting "either in the city or at the station".
Even though there was fighting earlier, the city continues to have access to power and water supply. However, Energodar is currently without heating due to pipeline damage.
