Prosecutor General Office opened cases on the shelling of Izyum

The Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine has launched criminal proceedings concerning the airstrikes on the town of Izyum in the northeastern Kharkiv oblast.

Details: This is a violation of the laws and customs of war (Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
Background: Russian invading forces shelled residential buildings in the Ukrainian town of Izyum on 3 March. Specifically, the Izyum District Police Department was damaged. A secondary school was also destroyed in the village of Horokhovatka near Izyum. Eight civilians were killed, including a child.
