President Volodymyr Zelenskyy says he has good relations with the Israeli leadership but does not feel they are "wrapped in the Ukrainian flag".

Details: The question from Israeli television was whether Zelensky had asked for help from the Israeli government, what answer he had received and whether he had any expectations from the Jewish state.

Zelenskyy: "I saw a very interesting photo today: Hasidic Jews are standing near the Western Wall. Probably different people. And they are all wrapped in a yellow and blue flag… I was impressed. Just great respect to the people who did it. They prayed… I was so grateful that they prayed.

I spoke with the Israeli leadership. And I'll tell you frankly, it may sound a little offensive, but I think I should say it.

We have a good relationship. But everything is tested by such moments in life, when it's tense... when you strongly need help. I spoke to him, and we have good diplomatic relations… but I do not feel that he (the leader of Israel - ed.) is wrapped in our flag".
