Zelenskyy: compromise impossible with Russia on some issues

The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted that the Russian side raised questions during the negotiations to which they had already prepared their answers, and on which compromise is impossible.

Quote: "There is a list of issues. We are ready to talk about all of the topics. The Russian side has formulated answers to their questions long before.

"What's the point of asking questions if you've already come up with the answers? This is why the dialogue is so complex. These are things to which you need to find some compromise so that people do not die, but there are things where compromise is impossible.

"Well, you can't just go and say "Ukraine is part of Russia now" - this is just impossible. Why would you offer that?

"From our side, there are certain important points brought to the negotiations table, because I want to stop this war. The negotiation process is a question of wording, balance and agreement from both sides."

According to Zelensky, any attempt to negotiate makes sense.
