Context: On 3 March, Russian troops launched rockets at a high-rise apartment complex in the centre of Chernihiv. Many of the apartment blocks were damaged; their windows shattered; walls, roofs, and balconies damaged. In places, walls and floors have also been destroyed.
The Regional State Administration has stressed that there were no military targets in the vicinity of these buildings - only hospitals, schools and kindergartens, and dozens of high-rise apartment buildings.
Russian air forces have also struck two schools in Chernihiv, as well as privately owned houses.
