Russia’s refusal to allow humanitarian corridors in Mariupol is resulting in a humanitarian disaster in the city.

Literally: ‘Metinvest group is ready to deliver food and necessities to Mariupol at any time. But the worst thing is that the enemy is not allowing the opening of humanitarian corridors. This is resulting in a humanitarian disaster in Mariupol.’
Details: According to the City Council, production has been stopped at all enterprises of Metinvest group in Mariupol. The only staff working at Mariupol’s Ilyich Iron and Steel Works, the Azovstal Iron & Steel Works, Metinvest-Promservice and the Metinvest Mariupol Machining and Repair Plant are those maintaining equipment in order to prevent technological accidents.
Due to the Russian military invasion, Mariupol remains without power and communications. There is no mobile connection in the city, but there are hopes that it will be restored.
What preceded this: Previously Pavlo Kirilenko, Head of Donetsk region’s military-civilian administration stated that Russian invaders were purposefully destroying civil and critical infrastructure in Mariupol in order to create a humanitarian disaster there.
