On 1 March, the Ukrainian Ministry of Finance made coupon payment on Eurobonds maturing in September 2022.

This was announced by Deputy Executive Director of the International Monetary Fund Vladislav Rashkovan on his Facebook page with reference to the words of Finance Minister Serhiy Marchenko.

"We are fulfilling our debt obligations in full. On March 1, 2022, a coupon payment on Eurobonds with maturity in September 2022 took place," Marchenko said.

The Ministry of Finance assures that even in conditions of military aggression, the Ministry of Finance, the Treasury and the NBU ensure all necessary payments.

As of February 28, the balance in the single treasury account amounted to 33 billion UAH, which is enough for current payments.

For comparison: Eight years ago after former President Viktor Yanukovych's escape, when the Russian Federation began the occupation of Crimea, the State Treasury account had only 108.1 thousand UAH.
