144 children killed in Ukraine by Russian missiles and bombs. These numbers exclude Mariupol

144 children were killed and 220 children were wounded due to the Russian military aggression in Ukraine as of 29 March.

These statistics exclude children that were killed in Mariupol. According to a government estimate, as of 27 March, nearly 5,000 people have been killed, including 210 children. The exact number of victims cannot be determined.

Details: The largest number of victims across regions: Kyiv region – 68, Kharkiv region – 49, Donetsk region – 54, Chernihiv region – 38, Mykolaiv region – 30, Luhansk region – 28, Zaporizhzhia region – 22, Zhytomyr region – 15, Sumy region – 15, Kherson region – 25, Kyiv city – 16.

Data on dead and wounded children in the city of Mariupol are also being established.

According to Prosecutor General’s Office, a 3-years-old child died from injuries inflicted by mines in the Luhansk region on 28 March.

Three civilians, including a child, were wounded in the shelling by Russians in a village in the Zaporizhzhia region.

773 educational institutions were damaged by bombing and shelling, 75 of them were completely destroyed. Most of the damaged institutions are located in Donetsk, Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, Zhytomyr, Sumy, Kyiv, Kherson regions, and Kyiv city.
