Details: According to Fedorov, Russians trespassed on the educational institutions in Melitopol and tried to force teachers and mentors to resume teaching "in accordance with some incomprehensible Russian programme."
Quote: "No school principal and no kindergarten principal agreed to interact with the aggressors. The latter failed to find a better way to achieve the desired aim, and today they abducted the head of the Education Department, Iryna Shcherbak, and accused her of embezzlement."
Background: Ivan Fedorov called this accusation absurd, since the Melitopol Education Department is under Ukrainian jurisdiction, and Russia cannot make any claims against its employees.
According to him, the aggressors want to coerce teachers to start the educational process.
"I consider it impossible to resume teaching in Melitopol today, because Russian troops are operating there, and it is definitely dangerous to go outside," Ivan Fedorov said.
He also said that Melitopol has been under an information blockade for the second day, as Russian troops blocked mobile communications and the internet in the vicinity.
