Security Service of Ukraine eliminates 5 bot farms working for Russia

Since the beginning of a full-scale war, the Security Service of Ukraine has eliminated 5 bot farms working for Russia with more than 100,000 fake accounts.

Details: Bot farms were working in Kharkiv, Cherkasy, Ternopil, Poltava, and Zakarpattia.
Fake accounts were registered on different social networks, including those that are currently banned in Ukraine.
Via this "army of bots", fakes about the Russian war in Ukraine were spread, with mass imposition of Russian ideology and justification of Russian aggression, Dekhtiarenko says.
During the search, law enforcement revealed:
- more than 100 GSM gateways
- almost 10,000 SIM cards of different mobile operators were used to mask criminal activities
- laptops and computer equipment with proof of criminal activities
- double-entry bookkeeping
The Security Service of Ukraine has opened a criminal investigation into these facts and is carrying out the necessary activities to bring to justice those responsible.
This offence is covered by Article 110 of the Criminal Code (infringement upon the territorial sovereignty and integrity of Ukraine) and is liable to a prison sentence of up to 15 years.
