After the Armed Forces of Ukraine defeated Russian forces at Trostianets (a city in Sumy Region), the commander of the 13th Tank Regiment – which is part of Kantemirovskaya Tank Division – shot himself.

The commander of the 1st Tank Army of the western military district of the Russian Federation was relieved from his post.

Quote: "We’ve got information on the results of the liberation of Trostianets by Ukrainian troops and the defeat of the Kantemirovskaya tank division.

Last night, the Central Intelligence Agency reported that the commander of the 13th Tank Regiment, which is part of Kantermyrivsk division, had shot himself. So, the number ‘13’ of the regiment turned out to be unlucky for the Russian officer as well as the number ‘200’ for the Russian Separate Motor Rifle Brigade, which was defeated and partially turned into cargo 200 by the Ukrainian Kholodnyi Yar Mechanised Brigade in the direction of Kharkiv.

Also, Sergey Kisel, commander of the 1st Tank Army (Military Unit 11161, Bakovka) of the western military district of the Russian Federation, was relieved from his post. The 1st Tank Army includes the infamous ‘elite’ Kantemirovskaya Tank Division.

Details: It’s noted that Kisel was fired because of the huge losses and the failure of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

The Ground Forces of Ukraine did not rule out that the Russian Army fleeing from Trostianets was the last straw, and the Russian leadership could not turn a blind eye to the poor management of the troops any more.

What happened earlier: On 26 march

Ukrainian defenders liberated the town of Trostianets in Sumy region. Also, the Armed Forces of Ukraine managed to drive out the ‘elite’ of the Russian Ground Forces – Kantemirovskaya Tank Division.
