Ukrainian defenders repel 7 invader attacks in Donbas region

Ukrainian defenders have repelled 7 attacks by the Russian aggressors on the Donetsk and Luhansk fronts.

Quote: "Thanks to the skilful actions and skills of the troops of the Joint Forces Group, 7 enemy attacks have been successfully thwarted over the course of the current day. Our soldiers have inflicted losses on the Russian invaders".

Details: During the day on 26 March, Ukrainian Defence Forces destroyed 8 enemy tanks, 8 armoured vehicles and 3 motor vehicles, as well as one of the aggressor’s mortars.

Of these, 5 tanks, 6 armoured infantry vehicles and 1 motor vehicle were destroyed by the "Shid" (East) Operational and Tactical Group on the Donetsk front of the defence operation.

Background:  The world media drew attention on 26 March that the Russian military command had given some signals indicating that the invading Russian forces were planning to focus major land operations on Donetsk and Luhansk.
