Partial withdrawal of occupying forces from the Sumy region to the Russian Federation, explosions heard in the Kherson region - situation in regions

Skirmishes with the Russian army continue in the Kyiv region, infiltrators are working in some areas, and in the Sumy region the Russians have withdrawn some troops from the territory of Ukraine.

Details: As of 8.00 am the situation in the regions is the following. 

Kyiv region

At night there were air-raid sirens throughout the region. 

Bilohorodka and Sviatopetrivske in the Bucha district are being shelled by Grad multiple rocket launchers and rockets. Fighting continues in Makariv, Irpin, Hostomel. Sabotage and reconnaissance groups have been activated. The Russian soldiers are trying to rotate. Slavutych is blocked. Brovary district was quiet overnight.

Chernihiv region

Chernihiv is bravely maintaining its defence. The situation in the city remains difficult.

Zhytomyr region

Air-raid sirens were heard at night.

Kirovohrad region

There were air raids at night. In general, the situation is calm and controlled.

Dnipropetrovsk region

In the morning people could hear air-raid sirens. In general, the situation is calm.

Sumy region

At night, the aggressors withdrew most of their troops to Russia. There was artillery shelling in the suburbs of Sumy. Information about victims and destruction is being clarified.

Kharkiv region

Kharkiv was shelled overnight by Russian long-range weapons. Casualty figures are being clarified. Active fighting continues in the Izyum direction, to the southeast of Kharkiv. 

Zaporizhzhia region

On the Zaporizhzhia front, the aggressors are trying to carry out attack operations, shelling certain units of  Ukraine’s Territorial Defence Forces and the Armed Forces of Ukraine, but have had no success. Instead, the Russian army has a significant number of wounded.

Poltava region

The night passed relatively calmly. Yesterday and Saturday morning people could hear air-raid sirens. 

Luhansk region

All cities are under Ukrainian control, but all are under constant fire. Skirmishes in Rubizhne and Popasna continue. 

Donetsk region

Intense shelling of the Marinka community near Donetsk. More than 30 private houses were destroyed. One child died, three people were injured.

Avdiivka is under shelling. Two people were wounded, including one child. There is a lot of destruction. The aggressors used phosphate munitions in the Avdiivka industrial zone. As of this morning, there is no information about the victims.

Mariupol is under blockade. The Russian army does not control the whole city, only some neighbourhoods. The city is struggling.

Mykolaiv region

At night, air-raid sirens were heard throughout the region. However, the night was relatively calm. 

Kherson region

In the Kherson region, loud explosions continue in the areas near Mykolaiv and Dnipropetrovsk regions.

Odesa

At night there was one air raid siren
