Quote: "Almost 400,000 citizens of Ukraine have crossed the border to re-enter our country since 24 February to date. Most of them – about 75-80% – are men.
We don’t interview everyone about their purpose for returning to Ukraine. However, I can say that most Ukrainian men, when talking to border guards or to the media – who are also interested in why people are returning – make it clear that they cannot stay away from the situation in their country. They claim they will definitely join the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, or Territorial Defence, or will contribute to Ukraine's victory in any feasible way."
