There is a possibility that the government of the Russian Federation will make a decision to start open mobilisation for a protracted and gruelling war, to compensate for the heavy personnel losses of the Russian army in the war with Ukraine.

Details: It is possible that the second Chechen war scenario will be repeated, where provocations involving the killing of civilians in Russia will be staged to justify the mobilisation.
General Staff notes that this would enable the government leadership to declare martial law and the total mobilisation of Russian citizens.
