Russian occupiers kidnap and torture Nova Kakhovka City Council secretary

Russian occupiers have captured the secretary of the Nova Kakhovka City Council, Dmitro Vasylyiv. He is being kept in jail and tortured.

Quote: "When this happened, my children and I were no longer in the city. We have constantly been in touch, but then there was no connection. Then I received a call and I was told that he had been kidnapped. It happened on 16 March at 3 o'clock.
I started searching for him. And the only thing I know is that he is allegedly in the basement of the police building, which was seized [by Russian forces]. I was able to send him a parcel there, but I don't know if he received it or not. I’ve also written a statement to the prosecutor's office about his disappearance."
Details: Vasylyiva stated that the occupiers are pressuring Vasylyiv to abandon his loyalty to the Ukrainian cause and support the Russian occupation. She says that he is subjected to both physical and moral pressure, including elements of torture.
According to Vasylyiva, both Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration Gennady Laguta, and Mayor Volodymyr Kovalenko of Nova Kakhovka know about Vasylyiv's captivity.
