Missile wreckage falls in Kyiv residential area, with one dead

A fire has broken out after the remains of a downed rocket fell on a residential building in the Podil district in central Kyiv, killing one person.

Details: Emergency service personnel and medics are already working at the scene.
The nature or extent of damage to the apartment buildings and the number of victims are being confirmed.
Update. It later became known that at 08:04 on 18 March, the remains of a downed rocket landed on a five-storey apartment building in the Podil district of the capital. Fire broke out on the ground, first and second floors of the building.
According to preliminary information, 12 people were rescued, 98 were evacuated, 4 were injured and 1 person has died.
Background: There was destruction and fire in a multi-storey building in Kiev on 17 March as a result of the fall of remnants of a downed Russian missile. One person died and three others were injured.
