More than 70 buildings were damaged by shelling in Kherson

Quote: "Nearly 40 high-rise buildings and over 30 private ones were damaged during the days of shelling and explosions in Kherson. 1507 windows were blown out by the blast wave, according to preliminary estimates."
Details: Ihor Kolykhayev noted that the city authorities are keeping a record of all the buildings that have been destroyed and damaged and estimating losses. The restoration will be funded by the city budget and donors.
He called on those victims who have not yet filed a complaint about damage sustained to submit such data to their councils of prefects, noncommissioned officers, and heads of district councils.
Background:
Russian military equipment is standing in front of the Kherson Regional State Administration building. The railway station and the seaport are under Russian control. Russian troops are preventing trucks with humanitarian aid from entering the city. Residents refuse to accept help from the occupying forces.
The Kherson Regional Council rejected the idea of a "Kherson People's Republic" at an emergency meeting on 12 March.
