Ukrainians can wage a "rail war" on the invaders by disabling the railway infrastructure, leading from the temporarily occupied territories to the government-controlled part of Ukraine.
This was announced by Oleksiy Arestovych, advisor to the head of the Presidential Office.
"Let's have an all-out rail war on the enemy in the temporarily occupied territories.
In the first instance, this applies to the Crimea – Melitopol, Crimea – Kherson, Valuyki – Kupiansk, Homel – Kyiv (general direction) routes, as well as others we find appropriate" Arestovich wrote.
He noted that these logistic routes are guarded by the enemy, therefore: "We must first calmly assess our forces and capabilities for this."
"Disrupting the enemy's supply via railways (and this type of supply is the most effective) can radically change the situation to our advantage, especially on the Crimea-Melitopol route," he added.
According to the advisor, that is the route via which the invader is supplying the forces attacking Mariupol.
