Roman Leshchenko, Minister of Agrarian Policy, has said that the food supply situation remains under control, and that key stocks will last for years.

He said this at a briefing, reports Ukrinform.

According to Leshchenko, Ukraine now has sufficient food reserves: wheat reserves are sufficient for two years, vegetable oil reserves are sufficient for five years and corn reserves are sufficient for 1.5 years.

He noted that Ukrainian retail chains are also stocked with food products of importance to the public in those regions where supplies can be replenished.
