Elite Rosgvardia special forces dead in Ukraine

The invading country is throwing elite Rosgvardia [Russian Federal National Guard Troops Service] special forces into the war against Ukraine.

Details: At least seven fighters from the "Vityaz" special operations centre under the Dzerzhinsky division are reported dead.

Biographical details of some of them are available.

For example, Alexey Blinkov, a graduate of the Novosibirsk Institute of the National Guard troops, was killed.

Mikhail Belyakov was born in Nikolsk in the Penza region. A veteran of combat operations in the North Caucasus, he was awarded the order of Courage posthumously and died on 27 February.

We also know about the death of Spetsnaz officer Maxim Pustoznov, a native of the Samara Region, who was a former youth football player for the Krylya Sovetov youth team.

Vityaz's duties range from cracking down on rebel groups to protecting VIPs.
