The situation in Izium in the Kharkiv region is no better than the situation in Mariupol. Deputy mayor Volodymyr Matsokin says that the city needs humanitarian corridors immediately.

According to Matsokin: "The city of Izium has been under siege for a fortnight. Without water, without electricity, heat, food, medicine or communications. The situation is no better than in Mariupol.
We are receiving information that survivors of shelling are dying from disease and lack of medicine.
There is no-one to bury the dead. No medical assistance is being provided. It is not possible to bring in humanitarian aid, which is available in sufficient quantities. There is no possibility of getting people away.
The enemy is insidiously shelling the road to Sloviansk, and the road from Kharkiv is controlled by the occupiers.
Izium residents are on the edge. Bridges have been torn down, the city is cut in half. There is no union!"
Details: According to Matsokin, Izium urgently needs humanitarian corridors on both sides –on the Kharkiv side and on the Sloviansk side– to deliver aid.
The city also needs green corridors on both sides to evacuate citizens.
