Almost 2.7 million Ukrainian refugees have left the country because of the war with Russia- the United Nations

The number of people who have fled Ukraine since the Russian invasion on February 24 is now nearly 2.7 million.

This was reported to the UN on Sunday, writes "Evropeyskaya Pravda".

The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees reported that 2,698,280 people have left Ukraine as of Sunday.

The number of refugees has increased by more than 100,700 from what was recorded on Saturday.

According to UNHCR, Poland is receiving the largest number of Ukrainian refugees, with 1,655,503 crossing the border since the invasion.

Polish border guards noted on Sunday that they had registered 1,675,000 people from Ukraine since the start of the war, according to AFP.

As of March 12, Hungary had received 246,206 refugees and Slovakia 195,980.

It will be recalled that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine on Sunday published the rights of Ukrainians, which they are receiving together with "temporary protection" status in the EU, and told them where to apply for it.
