The night was tense in the Kyiv, Chernihiv, Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk and Luhansk regions. Russian forces bombed several regions. Some of the other regions were quiet.

Details: As of 8.00 a.m. local time on 13 March, the situation in the regions is as follows:

Kyiv region
Bucha district – ongoing fighting in the towns of Irpin and Makariv. Constant movement by the invading forces in Gostomel, Borodyanka, and Bucha municipalities.
Brovary district - the invading vehicles are moving through the settlements. Fighting is taking place in three municipalities of Brovary district.
Vyshgorod district: three municipalities are suffering a humanitarian catastrophe. The city of Slavutych has no electricity.

Chernihiv region
Three air raids on the city of Chernihiv took place during the night. The damage and casualties are being clarified.
Defensive operations by the Ukrainian Armed Forces are being carried out around Chernihiv. Two settlements in the Kyiv direction were liberated yesterday.

Sumy region
The Sumy district was threatened from the air twice during the night. Russian artillery fired several times at the villages in the Okhtyrka district and at the city of Okhtyrka itself. Russian invaders are attacking mainly from the city of Trostyanets. This city is occupied by the Russian forces. The occupiers also used the ceasefire, which held on and off over the past few days, to strengthen its positions and move troops.

Zhytomyr region
The air raid siren sounded for a long period of the night and twice this morning already. There is no information yet on damages or losses.

Kirovohrad region
The air raid siren sounded for a few hours, the situation is generally calm.

Dnipropetrovsk region
The air raid siren sounded from 3.30 a.m. to almost 7 a.m. There were no explosions. The morning is calm.

Kharkiv
In Kharkiv, the air raid sirens sounded all night, and active fighting is taking place in the Izyum district.

Zaporizhzhia region
The Ukrainian military and residents of the Zaporizhzhia region, in cooperation with the police, the State Emergency Service, units of the Defence Forces of Ukraine and the authorities of the city of Zaporizhshia are holding back a massive offensive by the occupying forces. Currently, there are no significant changes in the Russian forces’ positions, but the Russian invaders continue to actively use artillery, tanks, grenade launchers and mortars.

Rivne region
The air raid sirens sounded during the night; the morning is calm.

Volyn Region
Volyn is relatively calm. The air raid sirens sounded from 3 a.m. onwards.

Vinnytsia region
The air raid sirens sounded during the night; the morning is calm.

Transcarpathia is calm.

Khmelnytsky region
The air raid siren sounded from 3.30 a.m. to 6.30 a.m. The situation is generally calm.

Ternopil
The air raid siren sounded for several hours.

Cherkasy

Lviv region
The Russian invaders launched an airstrike on the International Peacekeeping and Security Centre. According to preliminary data, they fired 8 missiles. The number of victims is being established.

Poltava region

Chernivtsi

Ivano-Frankivsk
The air raid siren sounded at night, explosions were heard, information is being checked. Later it became known that the Russian invaders almost destroyed Ivano-Frankivsk airport as a result of missile strikes.

Luhansk region
The residential areas of the cities of Severodonetsk, Rubizhne, Lysychansk and Popasna are under constant fire. There are casualties among the civilian population. Despite the constant shelling, the engineers of the electricity provider managed to reconnect 13,000 subscribers, and the engineers of the gas provider reconnected 7,000 subscribers.

Donetsk region
The city of Mariupol remains under siege. Fighting is taking place on the outskirts of the city. The humanitarian column is advancing slowly but surely.
