Since the beginning of the Russian invasion, the Ukrainian army has destroyed 2,593 units of enemy vehicles valued at 5 billion USD or 700 billion RUB.

This is stated in an assessment by "Forbes Ukraine".

Among these vehicles are 58 planes, 83 helicopters, 363 tanks and 1,205 armoured combat vehicles.

In monetary terms, planes and helicopters make up 47% of the total losses, tanks 29%  and armoured combat vehicles 14%. To be precise, the destroyed tanks cost Russia 1.5 billion USD, the armoured combat vehicles cost 0.7 billion USD, and the planes and helicopters 2.4 billion USD.

What types the downed planes are is still unknown. The Russian Federation uses Su-25, which cost 11 million USD, Su-30 which cost 33 million USD, and Su-34 which cost 36 million USD. The Ukrainian Armed Forces has also shot down two large landing planes IL-76 near Vasylkiv and Kropyvnytskyi. The cost of each of these is 86 million USD.

Forbes notes that this estimate is approximate, and the cost of vehicles is taken from open sources.

Also, the magazine did not include the cost of missiles used in Ukraine in its calculation. Just the Iskander mobile short-range ballistic missile systems and ‘Calibre’ cruise missiles that are used by Russian troops cost about 3 billion USD in total.

The Ukrainian army has also seized tanks, armoured vehicles and other vehicles belonging to the Russian army.

"Ukroboronprom", which is repairing and re-equipping them, refused to give the exact number of seized vehicles but told the magazine that it was a "large number" and that the trophies "quickly" repaired and ready to fight on the side of the Ukrainian troops.

"If a part of the hull or a crawler is damaged, it can be solved quickly, we have no problems with the necessary components," said Vladyslav Krykliy, an adviser to the Head of "Ukroboronprom". –  We paint over elements that indicate that it was a Russian military vehicle."
