Despite the significant damage, the ministry said, Ukrainian energy companies are making every effort to maintain the stable operation of the energy system, and emergency response crews are working around the clock despite the risk to life.

During the day, the country's gas supply to consumers was restored in 2011. Work is also underway to increase the reliability of electricity supply in Kyiv. At the same time, emergency recovery work is complicated or impossible due to the intensification of hostilities and the emergence of new damage to the grid.

On Saturday morning, more than 960,000 consumers in Ukraine were left without electricity due to the damage caused by the fighting. The most difficult situation with electricity supply is observed in Donetsk, Kyiv, Kharkiv and Chernihiv regions.
