The aggressors have called the deputies of the local Regional Council and offered to cooperate in the Kherson region. They decided to hold a so-called "referendum" on the establishment of the "Kherson People's Republic".

Quote: "In the Kherson region, a referendum on the establishment of the Kherson People's Republic is being prepared.
The aggressors are calling the deputies of the Kherson Regional Council to ask if we are ready to cooperate with them. I flatly refused.
I am addressing all deputies of the Kherson Regional Council.
Dear colleagues, I am sure that you understand the consequences of your decision.
The creation of the Kherson People's Republic will turn our region into a hopeless hole without life or future.
Don't give them any votes! Don't give them any opportunity to legitimise the Kherson People’s Republic."
Details: Hlan said that the aggressors called him and offered to cooperate.
According to the deputy, in future the whole country will look upon such deputies and there will be no excuse for cooperation with the aggressors: "Go down in the history of Ukraine not as traitors, whom no one needs, but as true citizens whose names will be remembered by future generations."
Previously: After the aggressors temporarily entered Kherson, actions against the aggressors were taken regularly in the city and region.
There are Russian military vehicles in front of the Regional State Administration building in the city, and the railway station and seaport are under Russian control.
The mayor of Kherson, Igor Kolykhaiev, said that Russian troops are preventing trucks with humanitarian aid from entering city.
At the same time, the Russians have failed to shoot a video where Kherson residents "happily" meet the aggressors and unload humanitarian aid from the aggressor.
Ukrainians went into the city with Ukrainian flags and refused to accept goods from the Russians.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked the proud Ukrainians who were under occupation but did not betray the interests of the country and showed the aggressor what pride and self-respect are.
Background:
- After Ukrainians began protesting in the occupied cities, Russian soldiers seized a pre-trial detention centre in temporarily occupied Kherson, with plans to establish a Putin police regime in the occupied territories.
- Russian security forces and police officers came to Ukraine together with the Russian army. Ukrainian defenders believe that security forces were sent to Ukraine to oppose the civilian population and suppress protests.
