Energoatom abandons Russian nuclear fuel

Energoatom, the national nuclear energy generating company, announced that it will abandon the purchase of nuclear fuel produced in the Russian Federation.

Energoatom wrote about this on the Telegram.

"Energoatom will completely abandon the purchase of Russian nuclear fuel," the post says.

Earlier, Energoatom announced that an agreement could be reached with the American fuel producer Westinghouse to increase the supply of fuel for Ukraine’s nuclear power plants, should such a need arise.
