Russia promises to open humanitarian corridors every day, but only to its own territory
Kateryna Tyschenko – Thursday, 10 March 2022, 21:51
Russia has announced – without agreement the government in Kyiv – that humanitarian corridors will be open every day from 10:00 to evacuate civilians from Ukraine to the Russian Federation.
Source: Mikhail Mizintsev, head of the National Defence Management Centre (NCDC) of the Russian Federation, cited in Interfax
According to Mizintsev: "We officially declare that the humanitarian corridors towards the Russian Federation will be opened unilaterally, without any requirements, every day from 10:00, and in other areas in agreement with the Ukrainian side."
Details: "In the territories controlled by the Russian Armed Forces, we guarantee full security," he said.
At the same time, Mizintsev stated that "Kyiv continues to categorically ban and does not approve the departure of civilians to the Russian Federation."
He also claimed, deceitfully, that the Russian side allegedly adheres to the ceasefire on all agreed humanitarian routes in Ukraine.
Mizintsev noted that Kyiv’s demand to de-mine the humanitarian corridor from Mariupol to Zaporizhia could not be met, as this area is allegedly under the control of Ukrainian forces.
