Ukraine has accused the so-called ‘Donetsk People’s Republic’ of creating camps for training children to handle weapons and gather intelligence data. This was reported by Ukraine’s delegation at the UN Security Council open debates, Ukrayinski Novyny informs.

"We got extremely alarming reports about the establishment of camps where children are trained on handling weapons, intelligence data collecting and manning checkpoints," the debate’s verbatim reads.

According to Ukrainian delegation, the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission has repeatedly reported that the militants don’t let young people leave the occupied territories and recruit them to their ranks.

The delegation highlighted that children aged 15 and above were enlisted to armed groups for taking part in combat, including intelligence missions, and to the subversive groups operating on government-controlled territories.
