Discussing the appointment of the new ambassador of Russian Federation to Ukraine is off the agenda on the initiative of the Ukrainian side, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs on European Integration Olena Zerkal told 5 Kanal in the interview on Wednesday night, August 3.

"This issue is off the agenda. At least while it is raised the way it is, it is off the agenda," she said. Zerkal thinks that the absence of an ambassador will not hinder bilateral relations between Russia and Ukraine.

On July 28, Russian president Vladimir Putin dismissed Mikhail Zurabov from his position as the ambassador of Russia to Ukraine. After that it was reported in the media that the prospective new ambassador is Mikhail Babich, currently the president’s representative in Volga Federal District, a former KGB officer and member of the military with active combat experience.

"...відсутність посла не вплине на розвиток двосторонніх відносин."
так, бо відносини вже такі інтимні, що пан посол є зайвою ланкою.
він заважає рухатись ритмічно.
