UNDP Concerned With Delay on Asset Declaration System
The United Nations Development Program in Ukraine has stated that possible delay of the launch of the e-asset declaration system for public officials was highly undesirable, as it is one of key requirements for the visa-free regime for Ukrainian citizens. This statement was published on the UNDP website.
UNDP reminds that the software complex for the Unified registry of asset declarations of state and local officials was developed with its financial support and transferred to the National Agency for Prevention of Corruption (NAPC).
This system "has also been the subject of a number of commitments made by Ukraine to its international partners and can be considered a key element of the reform process," the statement reads.
"The functionality of this software package was confirmed through a number of tests, including those conducted with direct involvement of NAPC representatives and experts of the State Service of Special Communication and Information Protection of Ukraine (SSCIP)," UNDP claimed.
This statement was made to address the recent alleged Ukraine’s violation of the schedule to launch e-asset declaration system. European Pravda informed earlier that Ukraine committed to launch it by August 15, but the deadline may be broken due to the problems with the system protection certificate.
"UNDP wishes to emphasize that the launch and operation of the system fall under the exclusive mandate and responsibility of state institutions… UNDP hopes that the previously agreed terms will be adhered to and the e-asset declaration system will be launched in its official, legally-binding capacity on 15 August 2016," the statement summarizes.
