Landik: Yefremov Organized Capture of Oblast Administration and SBU Building in Luhansk

Former Party of Regions MP, Luhansk native Volodymyr Landik told Radio Svoboda that Oleksandr Yefremov was the one who organized capturing of Luhansk oblast administration building and SBU building in March 2014.

He says that Yefremov ordered then-Chairman of Oblast Council Volodymyr Holenko to organize buses with young men from Russia to seize the administrative buildings, and claims that there is video evidence to prove this, which has already been forwarded to the SBU.

"We have filmed it all. Where they came from, who gave them the bats, how they dispersed and beat people, entered the [building of] the administration, and at night took the same buses to go back to Russia."

On August 1, ex-leader of the now-defunct Party of Regions Oleksandr Yefremov was detained for two months as a pretrial restrictive measure. Yefremov is accused of infringement of the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine.
