Shelling Leaves 12,000 People in Luhansk Oblast Without Electricity and Water Supply
Shelling has left 12,000 people in Stanytsia Luhanska district without electricity, water supply, and communications, Head of the Civil–Military Administration of Luhansk Oblast Yuri Harbuz informed.
According to the information of the Civil–Military Administration, on the night of August 26, shelling by the Russian and terrorist forces damaged the trunk power supply line near Stanytsia Luhanska. The shelling from 82mm mortars, infantry fighting vehicles, and grenade launchers lasted for about two hours.
Access to the damage site is complicated, as it is located in the ‘gray zone’, and the area around it is partially mined. "Two repair units have already been dispatched, temporary generators are already working. The citizens will have water supply in two hours," Harbuz said.
On the night of August 26 and after midnight, the enemy opened fire in the direction of the settlements along the contact line 18 times. No further information about losses and destruction was reported.
