EU ‘to Grant Visa-Free Travel by 2017’

European Union diplomats expect Ukraine and Georgia to be granted visa-free travel in the Schengen Zone by January 1, 2017, according to Rikard Jozwiak, correspondent of Radio Liberty Brussels.

President Petro Poroshenko said earlier that he was sure the EU would grant visa-free travel to Ukrainian citizens in the nearest weeks.

In late July, Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze said that the EU was getting ready to adopt a resolution on visa-free travel for Ukrainians in early autumn.
