Ministry of Foreign Affairs: 150 Ukrainian Convicts Transferred from Crimea to Russia

Approximately 150 citizens of Ukraine from the annexed Crimea were sent to serve their terms in Russian jails, according to the official reply of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to the enquiry of Krym.Realii.

"According to the information of the Ukrainian diplomatic institutions in Russia, since the occupation of Crimea there is information about approximately 150 Ukrainian citizens who were convicted in Crimea and sent to serve their terms in Russia," the document says.

Euromaidan SOS reported earlier that people who have been serving jail terms in Crimea when the peninsula was occupied are being transferred to Russian prisons. According to their information, their number is already over 2,200 people.
