Naftogaz Demands $26.6 Billion Compensation from Gazprom

During a hearing at the Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce, Naftogaz filed claims totaling $26.6 billion against Gazprom, the statement of Naftogaz says, Ukrayinski Novyny reports.
"Only regarding Gazprom cases, the total amount of claims against us is $38.7 billion with all interest, and we are claiming over $26.6 billion. A hearing of both cases is scheduled for autumn," the statement says.
Andriy Kobolyev, CEO of Naftogaz, said earlier that the company is expecting the decision from the Stockholm arbitration by early 2017.
