ProZorro ‘Has Already Saved Almost ₴3 Billion’

The public procurement system ProZorro helped to save ₴2.9 billion ($116 million) of public funds. Nearly 8,000 public agencies and state-run companies joined ProZorro. This was told by the Deputy Economy Minister Maksym Nefyodov on air on 5 Kanal, Ukrinform reports.

"We managed to save ₴2.9 billion, which is a great result. But it’s even better that almost 8,000 state customers joined our system. It means that over 90% of all public procurement goes through Prozorro. Moreover, we have more than 25,000 suppliers that joined us," he explained.

"We work on engaging more suppliers. The higher is the competition, the more transparent business processes will be established with more workplaces, tax payments, etc. For sure, it will be better for every one of us and for the economy as a whole," Nefyodov added.

ProZorro became mandatory for all government tenders on August 1.
