Danyliuk: Launch of E-Declaration without Security Certificate Can Derail IMF Tranche

Saturday, 13 August 2016, 13:55

Finance Minister Oleksandr Danyliuk claimed that the launch of the e-declaration system without a certificate of information protection compliance can jeopardize Ukraine’s relations with international partners. He stated this during a National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine meeting, European Pravda informs.

According to Danyliuk, if the system is launched in its limited capacity it can lead to the IMF tranche being derailed, although Ukraine never officially committed itself to launch e-declarations in its full capacity from the very onset.

"If the system will be launched in a mode not allowing for pursuing its core objectives, the IMF Board of Directors might be concerned with it," Danyliuk admitted.

He called on the State Service of Special Communication and Information Protection of Ukraine (SSCIP) to find a way to issue the security certificate by Monday. "Any possible delay can cause a lot of problems," he added.

On August 12, the SSCIP was reported to refuse approval of the system of collecting and processing of electronic income declarations of state officials.
