Ukrainian Intelligence: Russian Servicemen Began Accidental Firefight in Crimea
Russian military personnel exchanged fire in Crimea near Armiansk on August 7, representative of Ukrainian Defense Intelligence Vadym Skibitskyi reported at a briefing on Friday, August 12.
"According to our data, a gun battle took place between regular Russian troops and Russian border guards in Crimea near Armiansk on the night of August 7," he told.
"The reason was that these troops did not manage to identify each other in time and one side started to fire at the other side. No accurate information about casualties is available, but there are both killed and injured," Skibitskyi added.
