Poroshenko: Five Western Partners to Help With Minsk Agreements Roadmap
Saturday, 9 July 2016, 20:56
President Petro Poroshenko announced the start of consultations with foreign partners to develop a ‘roadmap’ for implementation of the Minsk Agreements during a press briefing in Warsaw on July 9. He said that all countries of what he termed the "G5" — USA, France, Germany, Italy, and Great Britain — will take part in drafting this document.
The roadmap will primarily concern unhindered access for the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to the occupied territories, as well as the non-government controlled part of the Russian–Ukrainian border, to prevent the infiltration of the regular Russian Army, mercenaries, equipment and artillery, in order to create the environment to begin political processes.
